You are lucky because you caught me in
a transitional phase. I was sitting here, eating my muffin, drinking
my coffee, and I had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity.
- Pulp Fiction
Great coffee should be fun
to drink, evoke the senses, and allow for possibilities.
Great coffee comes from roasters
who travel repeatedly to the source. They meet with and develop
a relationship with the farmers, educating them on how they can
work together to produce the best coffee in a sustainable manner.
These roasters usually pay an above market prices for the coffee
grown for them. These farmers, as is true of most coffee farmers,
are generally small and run a family growing operation. In this
long-term arrangement, the farmer is able to live more comfortably
and can reinvest some of the coffee profits back into the farm.

Great coffee comes from roasters
who pay attention to the bean. They treat roasting as a science
- keeping copius records and conducting numerous repetitive cuppings
in order to bring out the most from the bean. They also treat coffee
as an art - they are passionate about and love what they do.
We pledge to do our best to
bring you coffee from farmers and roasters who care deeply about
their coffee.
We pledge to inform you about
the coffee by providing professionally written reviews and information
on the roaster and farm of origin.
"Our culture runs on coffee and gasoline,
the first often tasting like the second." - Edward Abbey
It doesn't have to be that way.
