The Story
Stone Cup began humbly in January of 1997 as Riverview Coffee House.
Jennifer Stone ran the store by herself for three months but added
two employees by the end of the first year. Growth came quickly
in the first year as the business added a roasting operation and
changed the name to Stone Cup Roasting.
Jennifer moved the cafe in 1999 to a bigger store in a trendy shopping
district of north Chattanooga. She sold the business in 2007 to
focus on the wholesale business, which has been growing steadily.
Currently there is the roasting facility, 1 retail location and
numerous wholesale customers.

Passions
"Excellence in Coffee" - through sourcing the highest
quality green coffee beans, and a great attention to detail throughout
the roasting process, Stone Cup works hard to produce the best coffee
possible.
They are particularly proud of their small batch, vintage 1954,
cast iron German roaster made by Ferdinand Gothot, which enables
them to have an ability to control the roasting process to a degree
not possible by most roasters.
